Finance Resources

Are you interested in the tools I use everyday? These are some of the sites and tools I use for managing my money.

Managing My Money

Aggregator: Mint.com (100% Free!)

I use a few products for monitoring my finances. For the easiest view of cash flow and budgeting, I useMint.com. Mint takes your bank, credit, and loan account balances and transactions and brings them into one site automatically to use with one login. It saves time and effort keeping up on balances and budgets. This site is 100% free.

Online Banking: Electric Orange from ING Direct (Fee free banking!)

I have had an Electric Orange checking account with ING Direct since 2007. It is easy to use and navigate, has some of the highest interest rates around, and offers savings and CD accounts as well. If you sign up through this link, you get a $50 bonus for moving to ING Direct.

Easy Investing:  Betterment: Free Sign up + $25 Bonus! Start now!

I took up a fellow blogger on the offer to try Betterment with a $25 bonus. I am glad I did. It is an easy site to use and can help you automate your investing to match your cash flow and investment goals. It is the single easiest investment tool I have ever used.

Peer to Peer Lending:  Prosper or Lending Club

P2P lending lets you make money like a bank. You put in a portion of someone’s loan in $25 increments. You keep the interest payments. With no bank in the middle to take out the profits, they go to your pocket. Just make sure to get a basket of diverse loans to spread the risk.
